LUCKY SOUL – A Coming Of Age

I’m generally impressed as the album bursts out with a really strong beginning with “Woah Billy!”. This, along with Ali Howard’s vocals, bring a very unique and loveable feel to the album. Though a few of the songs are very similar and don’t particularly stand out as individual, there are also many that do. “Love3”, for example is a catchy tune with memorable lyrics. As well as making me want to tap my foot along with the beat, it is a very summery and happy song. The urge to dance continues with “Ain’t Nothin’ Like A Shame (To Bring It All Back Home)”. Along with these more upbeat tunes, the album also provides slower, calmer songs such as “Warm Water”, so there are definitely a variety of styles to be enjoyed. Though the album itself is only just over 35 minutes long, it is one that could easily be listened to more than once on repeat, and this is highly recommended.
