Hey Matt, see you are venturing into the news / press release area on your blog. Good luck ! Hope you find the time to keep posting up those regular updates !!!! Anyway, to get to the point, I’ve been loving Marina for a while now. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of her very first Demo Mermaid vs Sailor last time I was in Pure Groove Records and have been hooked ever since…Unfortunately I keep missing her live as I always seem to be at another gig ! Missed her show at Hamptons as I was in London for The Cure, will miss her at Great Escape as I’m probably going to be watching Yes Giantess instead at another venue BUT will hopefully get to see her at either Camp Bestival or Bestival, line up clashes permitting ! Incidentally Neon Gold are rapidly becoming my new favourite record label. What with Passion Pits debut, Marina then Yes Giantess and Wolf Gang (one of their next releases) are sounding kind of fun as well.

Venturing indeed Robin, but the news updates are (thankfully) very easy, basically copy and pasting jobs of what PR people send through. I’m very excited about Marina’s release and very jelaous of everyone going to Great Escape (next year…). Passion Pits are an intriguing band too… and I really must have a good listen to Yes Giantess!

Yeah I gathered that. The writing was very much PR stylee rather than your own style…
Doubt very very much if Yes Giantess will be your cup of tea. Very 80′s. Very synth based. But I love’em love’em love’em. (And if you check their Myspace you will see a certain Breaking More Waves quote !)
